Looking for a splash of green city style? Then go shopping in the city with one of the Surfrider Foundation limited edition reusable bags by Envirosax.
These water-inspired reusable bags feature artwork from the Foundation’s friends Ned Evans, Robb Havassy and Melinda Morey.
Envirosax and Surfrider Foundation have teamed up to raise awareness about the issue of single-use plastics in marine environments.
A non-profit grassroots organization, the Surfrider Foundation is “dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.”
The reusable bag designer Envirosax says each bag potentially replaces the use of 6,000 plastic bags in its lifetime.
According to a United Nations study, an estimated 100,000 marine mammals and up to 1,000,000 sea birds die annually after ingesting or being tangled in plastic marine litter.
The reusable bag features include:
- Lightweight and strong;
- Easy to carry in a pocket or handbag;
- Carries up to 44 lbs and
- Versatile and stylish.
Envirosax says it will donate 50 cents from every bag sold to the Surfrider Foundation to support its Rise Above Plastics campaign.
This campaign is working to reduce single-use plastics in the marine environment through education and advocacy.
